Volusia County Council Chairman Frank Bruno is Volusia County’s representative on the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission Board of Directors.

Chairman Bruno has a long and distinguished record of service to the residents of Volusia County. He moved here from New Jersey in 1970 and soon became an entrepreneur and active community volunteer.

He established LithoCraft Printing, which he owned for 23 years, and which continues to prosper today. Chairman Bruno is the former Vice Mayor of Ponce Inlet, where he resides with his wife, Mary. The Brunos have been married for 39 years and have one daughter.

Chairman Bruno was first elected to the County Council in 1982 and served through 1988. He was the Chairman in 1987. Chairman Bruno was then re-elected in 1998 and served as the Chairman in 2003.

Chairman Bruno chairs the Tourist Development Council, which is overseeing the expansion of the Ocean Center. He also chairs the Volusia County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board and is a board member of EVAC.

In the 2004 election, Chairman Bruno made history when he became the first elected Volusia County Chair. Chairman Bruno is a veteran of the United States Army and has won numerous awards for his volunteer service to the community.
