What It Is

  • The Orlando International Airport (OIA) Intermodal Center is a transfer center for passengers using the airport, commuter trains, rapid transit, and local buses. As a regional population and tourist leader, Orlando's transportation system is influenced greatly by the Orlando International Airport. OIA Intermodal Center offers safe and efficient transfers for users of various modes of transportation while solving the mobility problems in the congested and growing greater Orlando area.

Proposed Location

  • Two stations are being proposed on Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) property, more specifically, the Orlando International Airport. The map below depicts both the North and South Terminal Intermodal Centers.

Projected Timeline

  • The Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study was completed in December 2005. Preliminary engineering and design of the North Terminal Intermodal Center is currently underway and is expected to be completed by mid-year 2007.
